Lesley Eugene Laws

Lesley Eugene Laws, 88, of Salisbury died Monday, December 16, 2024 at Autumn Care of Salisbury.

A funeral service will be Thursday at 11:00 AM at Piedmont Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. David Robinson. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Laws was born December 4, 1936 to the late Ralph and Gladys Burnett Laws. A member and former Deacon of Madison Heights Freewill Baptist Church, he enjoyed fishing and woodworking and dearly loved his family and his church. He was preceded in death by a daughter Sandra Lynn “Sandy” Spry, and brothers Ulyess, Luke, and Max Laws.

Surviving are his wife of 66 years Helen Hicks Laws of the home; sons Michael Laws of Harker’s Island, NC, and Eddie Laws of Churchland; grandchildren Vincent Laws, Colton Laws, Cody Laws, and Michael Price; and great-grandchild Emery Ann Laws; in addition to brother Jim Laws (Kate) of Kentucky; sisters Brenda Hoskins of Florida, Debbie Bland (Danny) of Thomasville, and Sue Watson and Jerleen Simmons both of Lexington.
