Laura Younts Perryman, 96, of Reedy Creek Road, died Tuesday, July 15, 2008 in Alston Brook Funeral services will be held Friday, July 18, 2008 at 11:00 AM from the Good Hope United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Chris Bennett officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Mrs. Perryman was born in Davidson County on March 18, 1912, to the late Jasper Allen Younts and Sally Craver Younts. She had previously owned and operated Laura’s Cloth Shop and Laura’s Moravian Cookies. Mrs. Perryman was a lifetime and loyal member of Good Hope United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday School for several years, had started a Senior Citizens Group, and was a former youth fellowship director . In addition to her parents, preceding her in death was her husband, Ralph Odell Perryman, he died on October 8, 2003 Surviving are one son Craig Perryman and his wife Nancy, of Lexington, two daughters Jean Hildreth and her husband Bill, of Lexington, Kay Stalcup of Smyrna, Ga, brothers, Worth Younts and his wife, Blanche of Reedy Creek, and Zan Younts and his wife, Delores of Welcome, sisters, Rose Brock , Lucy Schaeffer, and Amy Jo Hartman and her husband, Eugene all of Reedy Creek. Also surviving are ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6 until 8 PM at Piedmont Funeral Home.
