Kevon Hunt Farabee, Sr.

Mr. Kevon Hunt Farabee, Sr. 70, of North Myrtle Beach, SC died Sunday, August 16, 2020 at WFBH-Lexington Medical Center. A funeral service will be at 3:00 PM Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at Piedmont Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Kevon Farabee, Jr. conducting services. Interment will follow in Bethel Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home, with Covid-19 protocols being observed at all services. Mr. Farabee was born in Guilford County October 18, 1949 to the late Gilmer Blackburn and Inez Ridge Farabee. He grew up in the Reeds community, was a 1968 graduate of West Davidson High School, and attended Davidson County Community College. A professional musician, he retired to North Myrtle Beach, SC in 2004. Preceding him in death were an older brother, Gary Farabee, and his twin brother, Kent Farabee. Surviving are son Rev. Kevon Farabee, Jr and wife Bethany of Greensboro; daughter Kara Brooks (Tim Puller) of Wilmington; sister Vanessa Farabee of Lexington; and grandchildren Gracie Farabee, Gavin Brewer, and Lindsay Brewer. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Leisha Tripp. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Lexington Health Care for the love and care shown to Kevon during his illness.
