Kenneth David “Kenny” Gibson, 34, of Oakwood Boulevard, went home to be with the Lord, Friday, December 19 at Lexington Memorial Hospital. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, December 22 at Center Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Brian Alexander and Rev. Lamar Moore officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Kenny was born August 23, 1974 in Davidson County to Ricky Gene Gibson and Judy Blackwell Gibson. He was a Commercial Parts Pro for Advance Auto Parts in Denton and was a member of Center Hill Baptist Church. Kenny was a devoted and loving husband and father and enjoyed riding his motorcycle. Preceding him in death were his grandparents, Rupert Lee Gibson and Dorothy Lee Mitchell Gibson and grandmother, Nell Blackwell. Kenny is survived by his wife of 12 years, Misty George Gibson of the home, his daughter, Lacey Bianca Gibson of the home, his parents, Ricky and Judy Blackwell Gibson of Lexington, his brother, Ricky Wayne Gibson and his wife Kathy, of Lexington, his grandparents, Walter and Bessie Blackwell of Lexington, and his father and mother in-law, Randy and Jane George of Lexington. Also surviving are uncles, Robbie Dale Gibson and his wife Revonda, Steve Gibson and his wife Marla all of Lexington, Bobby Blackwell and his wife, Beth, nieces, Brittny and Randi Gibson of Linwood, nephews, Jared Stilter of Lexington, and Aaron Pugh of Grundy, VA., his cousins, Brandi Gibson, and Billy Hall, his aunt, Betty McCrary of Lexington, and many more cousins. The family will receive friends Sunday from 6 until 8 PM at Piedmont Funeral Home and other times will be home of Mr. and Mrs. Randy George, 189 Oakwood Boulevard, Lexington.
