Kenneth James Throckmorton, 72, of Bridge Street, died Sunday January 10, 2016 at Hinkle Hospice House. An inurnment service will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday January 20th 2016 at the Salisbury National Cemetery Columbarium with the Rev. Jimmie Porter officiating. Military honors will be provided by the Davidson County Honor Guard and the United States Air Force. Mr. Throckmorton was born in Fredericksburg, Va. on September 26, 1943 to the late James Throckmorton and Mary Gayle Throckmorton. He was a retired chef with the Norfolk and Southern Railroad. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and also the Army National Guard. He was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Wade Throckmorton. Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth Ann Coleman Throckmorton of the home; sons, Scott Throckmorton of Alabama and Daniel Throckmorton of Germany; daughter, Crystal Throckmorton Gibson of Lexington; step daughter, Belinda Lacky of Lexington; grandchildren, Candice Hayes, Drew Perry, Alyssa Perry, Brandon Throckmorton, Nathan Throckmorton, Daniel Throckmorton and Jenna Throckmorton.
