Kenneth Frederick Johnston, 74, a resident of West Old Highway 64, died Wednesday, October 3, 2007 at 3:37 AM in Kindred Hospital in Greensboro. Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, October 6, 2007, at 2:00 PM at First Lutheran Church, where he was a member with Pastor Derek Boggs officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park. Mr. Johnston was born in Clinton County, Ohio on June 21, 1933 to the late Gerald and Ruth Grimes Johnston. He was a retired employee of Parking Products in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and was a veteran of the US Army. In addition to his parents, preceding him in death was his wife, Julia Caroline Johnston. He is survived by two sisters, Joanne Sullivan and her husband, Don of Paradise, Pennsylvania, and Gerry Woll and her husband, George of Pacific, Missouri, a sister in-law, Amy Whalen and her husband, Denny of Lexington, and a brother in-law, James Foster of Lexington. The family will receive friends Saturday one hour prior to the service, in the Church Parlor, and other times will be at home of his sister in-law, Amy Whalen, 2676 West Old Highway 64, Lexington Those desiring to make memorials may send them to the First Lutheran Church, PO Box 308, Lexington, NC 27293 or to the charity of the Donor’s Choice.
