Kay Peterson

Mrs. Sandra Kay Peterson of East Park Avenue, died Wednesday at her residence. She was age 60. Funeral Services will be 4:00 PM Friday at Galilee Missionary Baptist Church, where she was a member with Pastor Bud Powell, Pastor Bobby Leonard, Evangelist Jimmy Clark and Mr. Wesley Brown, officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Kay was born in Davidson County on April 12, 1948 to the late George Horace Hunt and Margaret Violet Ferguson Hunt. She was a homemaker. Kay is survived by her husband, Pastor Larry W. Peterson of the home, a daughter, Margaret Whitlock and her husband, Jody of Lexington, a son, James Lee Peterson and his wife, Donna of Lexington, a brother, Bobby Hunt and his wife, Landa of Lexington. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Megan Farabee, Jesse Whitlock, Shonna Wright, Alex Peterson, and Jonathan Peterson. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 until 8 PM at Piedmont Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence.
