Kathleen Shoaf Grubb

Mary Kathleen Shoaf Grubb, age 88, a resident of Boones Cave Road, died Sunday, March 23, 2008 in Rowan Regional Medical Center in Salisbury. Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Thursday, March 27, 2008 from the Churchland Baptist Church where she was a member, with Rev. Ray N. Howell IV officiating. Interment will follow in the Grubb Cemetery. Mrs. Grubb was born in Davidson County, NC on December 1, 1919 to the late Fred Casey Shoaf and Bessie Golden Leonard Shoaf. She was a retired employee of Fieldcrest Cannon. In addition to her parents, preceding her in death was her husband, William Lawrence Grubb. Surviving are, six brothers: Tommy W. Shoaf and his wife, Betty Jean, Fred Casey Shoaf, Jr, James E. Shoaf, Billy Wayne Shoaf and his wife, Helen, Charles Henry Shoaf and his wife, Deanne and Donald Ray Shoaf and his wife, Sarah Frankie all of Lexington; four sisters, Louise Shoaf Simerson of Lexington, Mable Koontz of Chapel Hill, Tina May of Lexington, and Maxine Richardson of Mocksville; and a number of Nieces and Nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Wednesday at Piedmont Funeral Home and other times at the home of her sister, Tina May on Sink Farm Road, Lexington.
