Mr. Julian Crawford Clontz, 88, died Monday, May 22, 2017 at Brookstone Retirement Center. A funeral service will be at 4:00 PM Wednesday at Piedmont Funeral Home Chapel by Preacher Clyde Akers. Burial will follow in Churchland Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:30-4:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home before the service. Mr. Clontz was born November 30, 1928 in Davidson County to the late Baxter Augustus and Beulah Sigman Clontz. He was of the Baptist faith, and retired from Fieldcrest Mills. Preceding him in death were brothers Elmer, Charles, Billy,Paul,and Gilbert Clontz; and sisters Mildred Wyatt, Lorene Hill, and Kathleen Poole. Surviving are daughter Shirley Ramsey (Charles) of Salisbury; grandchildren Christopher Ramsey, Chastity Ramsey, Clayton Ramsey, and Camden Ramsey; and great-grandchildren Emoriah Feamster, Gabriella Ramsey, and Kennedy Coney. Also surviving are brother Bobby Clontz (Fostine) of Lexington, and sister Nancy Clement. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Debbie Blevins for her care given to Julian.
