Judy Myers Orrell, 61, of N.C. Highway 150 South, Linwood, died Monday, Nov. 20, 2006, at Rowan Regional Medical Center in Salisbury after an illness of six months and a critical illness of two weeks. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Tyro United Methodist Church by the Rev. Terry Smith. Interment will be in Smith Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Orrell was born June 25, 1945, in Rowan County to Willis Wade Myers Sr. and Mary Ruth Shoaf Myers. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Eddie H. Myers. She was co-owner of Orrell's Food Service with 39 years of service. She was a graduate of Salisbury Business College and a member of Smith Grove Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband, Tony Ray Orrell of the home; a daughter, Pam Myers and her husband, Eric, of Lexington; a sister-in-law, Diana Myers of Salisbury; a brother, Wade Myers Jr. and his wife, Cybil, of Salisbury; several nieces and nephews, Kris and Cathy Ball, Eddie and Sandra Ball, Barbie and Steve Readling, Shellie and Joe Leazer, Cathy and Mark Campbell, and Erin Myers; and two grandchildren, Hannah Raye Myers and Noah Alexander Myers. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at Piedmont Funeral Home and other times at the residence.
