Judy Leonard Cole

Judy Carol Leonard Cole, age 63, a resident of Coree Drive, Lexington, died Tuesday, July 24, 2007 at 1:56 AM in Lexington Memorial Hospital. A memorial service will be held Sunday, July 29, 2007 at 3:00 PM at the Currytown Baptist Church with the Rev. Michael McDaniel officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Cole was born in Davidson County, NC on December 9, 1943 to the late Roy and Thelma Pope Leonard. She was an employee of Linwood Furniture and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, preceding her in death was her husband, Bobby Lee Cole. She was a giving and loving mother, and friend to all that knew her, and put others needs before her own. She is survived by three daughters, Rochelle Rummage of the home; Robin Richards of Port Jervis, New York; Donna Durham and her husband, Terry of Spencer, two sons, Billy Joe Beck of Charlotte; and Scotty Dean Beck of the home; three sisters, Nancy Leonard Crotts, her late husband was Larry Crotts, and Wanda Leonard Britt and her husband, Gene all of Lexington, Sandra Kaye Leonard Hinger of Delaware, Ohio, four brothers, J.C. Leonard, Harry Ray Leonard and his wife, Connie, Russell Leonard and his wife, Shirley all of Lexington; Kenneth Wayne Leonard of Denton. Also surviving are thirteen grandchildren, Kenny Wayne Richards, Crystal Reed, Melanie Grooms, Aaron Durham, David Durham, Sharon Durham, Hannah Durham, Kimberlie Louia, Tiffany Beck, Mitzi Beck Andrews, Scotty Beck, Jr, Brandon Beck, and Joshua Ward of the home, and ten great grandchildren, Michael Richards, Christian Reed, Sarah Kelley, Chase Reed, Nelson Reed, Emily Grooms, Malcolm Grooms, Riley Louia, Leland Blackburn, and October Sky Ward. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM Friday at Piedmont Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence.
