Joshua Stewart Calloway

Joshua Stewart Calloway,38, of Thomasville went home to be with our Lord February 17, 2023. Josh was born June 8th 1984, to Melinda Farabee Townsend and the late Kenneth Wayne Calloway. Although Josh attended East Davidson High School, he spent most of his time in Lexington, with his friends he grew up with. Josh loved nothing more than coming home from a hard day’s work to spent time with his son Brayden. Josh enjoyed cooking, playing cards, fishing, family time and just hanging out on the porch. Josh was such a sweet soul and was always there to offer a hand and lend an ear. Just an amazing person who valued others. We all will miss him deeply. His beautiful life will forever be cherished lives of his son, Braydon Shrewsbury of Thomasville, his mother, Melinda Townsend (Jamie) of Thomasville, brother, Randy Calloway (Laura) of Lexington, grandparents, Denny Owens (Kaye) of Lexington, niece and nephew, Caydence (Cady) Calloway and Hayden Stiers of Lexington. In addition to several aunts, uncles, and cousins, also including his uncle John Boy of Lexington and numerous friends. The family will be holding a Celebration of Life on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at 2:00 PM. at Reeds United Methodist Church, 4731 W Old Highway 64, Lexington, NC 27295. Please bring a covered dish if possible. The family will be at Randy and Laura Calloway's home, 613 Lingle Farm Road, Lexington after the service if you wish to come by.
