Joseph Fred Doss, Jr.

Joseph Fred Doss, Jr. 60, of West Old highway 64, died Thursday at his home. A memorial service will be held at 6:00 P.M. Tuesday October 15, 2013, at Piedmont Funeral Home Chapel, with preacher Clyde Akers officiating. Visitation will be held from 5-6 P.M. before the service at the funeral home. Joseph was born in Martinsville,Va. on June 2, 1953 to the late Joseph Fred Doss, Sr. and Edna Virginia Barrow Doss. He was formerly employed with Sealy Mattress. He loved fishing, racing,camping, and helping his daughter at Bauer Insurance Agency in Lexington. Surviving are his fiancé, Diana Cantwell of the home; son, Christopher J. Doss of Lexington; daughter, Crystal Joy Bauer of Lexington; sister,Virginia D. Stephens and husband Dugan of Collinsville, Va.; grandchild, Dylan Doss of Kernersville, and special grandson, Isaac Bauer of Lexington; one niece and one nephew, Diana’s children, Charles David Duncan and Jackie Donald Duncan, Jr. both of Lexington.
