Johnny Wilber Sledge

Johnny Wilber Sledge, 82, of Horseshoe Neck Road died Monday, April 24, 2017 at his home. At Mr. Sledge’s request, no formal services will be held. Mr. Sledge was born November 25, 1934 in Davidson County to the late Colley Pinkston and Nannie Bell Koontz Sledge. A veteran of the US Army, he was a retired machinist and of the Baptist faith. He was also a member of the American Legion. He was preceded in death by his former wife, Billie Grey Davis Sledge; brothers Elwood and C.P. Sledge, Jr.; and sister, Mabel S. Griffin. Surviving are his wife, Pat Webb Sledge; daughter, Wendy G. Sledge of East Bend; and grandchildren Cassidy Holder and husband Dallas, and Houston Edwards all of East Bend. Also surviving are special friends Mitch and Elizabeth Swicegood and children Nick and Colton of Churchland.
