John Tripp

Mr. John Melton Tripp, 90, of Lexington died Monday, April 22, 2024 at his home. A graveside service will be Friday, April 26, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Forest Hill Memorial Park conducted by the Rev. Joel Smith, and Robin Smith. Mr. Tripp was born June 21,1933 in Buncombe County, NC to the late John R. and Mary Stokes Tripp. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty J. Tripp; brother Carl Tripp, and sisters Mary Stallings and Gaynell Tripp. He was a veteran of The Army National Guard, a member of Wayside Baptist Tabernacle, and formerly employed by Frank Ix and Sons Textiles. Surviving are son Steven Tripp (Leisha) and daughter Kay Tripp of Charlotte. Also surviving are grandchildren Corbin Tripp and Caleb Tripp, and great-grandchildren Brier Tripp and Kaylee Tripp, in addition to brother Spencer Tripp (Dorothy) of Lexington. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292.
