John Clifford Moody, age 51, a resident of Garden Drive, Lexington, died Thursday, February 14, 2008, at 7:00 AM his residence. Funeral Services will be conducted Sunday, February 17, 2008 at 3:00 PM, in the Chapel of Piedmont Funeral Home with Rev. Dave Harvey officiating. Interment will follow in Lexington City Cemetery. John was born in Davidson County, NC on February 20, 1956 son of the late Howard Moody, Jr., and Vivian Swing Moody. He was a retired employee of PPG Industries, retiring after 25 years of service, and was a member of Yadkin College United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Piedmont Chapter for the Cowboys for Christ. In addition to his parents, preceding him in death were his maternal grandmother, Edna Swing, and his paternal grandmother, Josie Moody. Surviving are his wife, Lynn Wood Moody of the home, a son, Travis Moody of the home, two brothers, George Moody and Rodger Moody both of Lexington. Also surviving are his mother in law, Elizabeth Wood, of Lexington, and his special and loving four legged companions, Pokey and Ashes. The family will receive friends Saturday from 6 until 8 PM at Piedmont Funeral Home and other times will be at the home.
