John Wayne Little, Sr.

John Wayne Little, Sr., 76, of Brewer Road, died Monday October 30, 2017 at Hinkle Hospice House.   A memorial graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday November 2, 2017 at Forest Hill Memorial Park, with the Rev. David Davis officiating.   Mr. Little was born in Columbus County on March 11, 1941 to the late Ellis Little and Vergie Dudney Little. John started working for Sunbeam bread in the 60’s was a Lexington policeman for 10 years and was owner of John Wayne’s BBQ for 11 years. He retired after declining health issues. He was also a member of Lexington Memorial Lodge # 473.   Surviving are his wife Daisy Barker Little of the home, son, John Wayne Little, Jr. (Jean) of Lexington, daughters, Donna Little (Ray) of Lexington and Sharon Davis (Farley) of Ocean Isle. Grandchildren, Tobey and Jeremery Prince, Brandi Moore, Joshua Leonard, Paxton and Whitney Davis, Bryan and Jason Williams, 11 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.   Memorials may be made to Hospice of Davidson County, 202 Hospice Way, Lexington,NC 27292.
