Jessie Arrowood Martin

Jessie Arrowood Martin, 96, of Allen Drive, died Tuesday April 12, 2016 at her home. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday at Forest Hill Memorial Park, with preacher Clyde Akers officiating. Burial will follow. Mrs. Martin was born in Cherokee County on October 30, 1919 to the late Gurley Arrowood and Florence Arrowood. She was a member of Oakhurst Baptist Church and was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wade Martin, son, Edward Martin, daughter, Joyce Martin and stepson, Monroe Martin and 5 brothers. Surviving are her son, Glenn W. Martin of the home; 2 stepsons, Woodrow Martin of Lexington, Clifton Martin of Unaka, NC. 5 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
