Jesse Poole, Jr.

Mr. Jesse Franklin Poole, Jr. of Linwood died Sunday, January 8, 2023 at the VA Hospital in Salisbury, NC. A funeral service will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday at Smith Grove Baptist Church conducted by Jonathan Laws. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment with follow in the church cemetery with military graveside honors provided by the US Army and the Davidson County Honor Guard. Mr. Poole was born in Davidson County July 21, 1952 to the late Jesse Franklin Poole, Sr., and Ella Shaffer Poole. A US Army Veteran, he retired as a machinist for Fabmasters. In addition to his parents, also preceding him in death were brothers Richard, Harry, Robert, Marvin, J.C., and Wesley Carroll Poole. Surviving are brothers Pat Poole of Landis, and Joe Ray Poole of Linwood, in addition to sisters Linda Poole McCrary of Linwood, Evelyn Finney of Welcome, Margaret Marshall and Barbara Ann Poole both of Kernersville, and special friend Ms. Keith James.
