James Alan Lyon

  Mr. James Alan Lyon, 78, of Lexington died Friday, June 15, 2018.  A gathering/memorial service will be held Sunday, July 1, 2018 at 2:00 PM at The Hobby Park, 2301 W. Clemmonsville Rd., Winston-Salem, NC. Pastor Dan Downing of Heath Church and the Rev. Dr. Kenneth Lyon will officiate the memorial service.  Mr. Lyon was born January 15, 1940 in Davidson County to the late Marvin E. and Mildred Crouse Lyon. He was a former auto body repairman and a member of Heath Church.  Surviving are sons Richard Lyon (Trudy) and Martin Lyon (Sherrie) all of Lexington, John Lyon (Alison) of Kernersville, Torrey Shawn Lyon of Winston-Salem, Brandon Lyon (Tabatha) and Dustin Michael Lyon all of Tennessee; daughters Darla Jill Lyon Johnson (Brian) of Fuquay-Varina, Terina C. Lyon Rudd of Angier, and Dellora Crews (Don) of Davidson. Also surviving are one brother, the Rev. Dr. Kenneth Lyon (Lydia) of High Point; twenty-one grandchildren; twenty-eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Heath Church, 1375 Heath Church Rd., Lexington, NC  27292.
