James "Jim" Harry Parton

James “Jim” Harry Parton, 77, of Lexington died Saturday, June 3, 2023 at Hinkle Hospice House. A Celebration of Life Service will be Saturday, June 10,2023 at 11:00 AM at Center Hill Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Brian Alexander. The family will see friends after the service. Jim was born in Haywood County October 27, 1945 to the late Sarah Kinsland . A member of Center Hill Baptist Church, he retired from the City of Thomasville Water Resources Department. He was also formerly a Merchant Marine. Surviving are step-son Gary Dean Ratliff, Jr. of Lexington, and daughter Angela Maynard (Robey) of West Virginia, in addition to grandchildren Jessie, Sarah, James, and Brigid.
