James Junior Galyean

James Junior Galyean,77, of E. 10th Ave. Ext, passed away Monday January 10, 2022 at his home. A memorial graveside service will be held in Mt. Airy at a later date. James was born in McDowell County, WVA. On February 6, 1945 to the late Guy Franklin Galyean and Bertha Upchurch Galyean. He was formerly employed with Smith Mill Works. He was preceded in death by daughter, Wanda Dalton, brothers, Charlie Galyean, Joe Galyean, Pete Galyean, Elwood Galyean, sisters, Lolar Virginia Marshall, Vera Bledsaul, Fredna Puckett, Francis Payne, Barbara Cave and Mildred Patino, grandson, Jason Galyean and great-grandson, Drake Galyean. Surviving is his wife, Garlena Grubb Galyean, sons, Larry Galyean (Kim) and Jerry Galyean (Amanda) of Virginia, Daniel Galyean (Robbyn) and Kenneth Galyean (Shawna) of Lexington, daughters, Bertha Martin ( Ricky) and Shirlynn Crouse (Wade) of Virginia, Christina Galyean (Casey White) of Mississippi, Mary Elizabeth Noah of Dobson, brother, Ronnie Wyatt of Mt. Airy. Also surviving are numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
