Jack Norman

June 13, 1942 — November 10, 2008

John Robert “Jack” Norman, 66, of Buddle Drive, died Monday, November 10 at Rowan Regional Medical Center, Salisbury. A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 12 at the Cotton Grove United Methodist Church, with Rev. Ed Armfield, Jr. and Rev. Dr. Bill Hicks officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery Mr. Norman was born June 13, 1942 in Davidson County to George Washington Norman and Agnes Holt Norman. He was a self-employed painter and was of the Baptist Faith. In addition to his parents, preceding him in death was a brother, George Norman, Jr... He is survived by wife, Barbra Yarbrough Norman of the home, three daughters, Christine Bailey, Linda Bivens, and Wanda Ellis all of Lexington ; one son, Bobby Wheat of Lexington; two step-daughters of Lexington, fifteen grand-children, and three great-grandchildren. Also surviving are six brothers, Glenn Norman, Wayne Norman, Ed Norman, Fred Norman, Jimbo Norman, and Albert Norman, all of Lexington, two sisters, Mrs. Marie Myers of Lexington and Mrs. Betty Jean Forest of Fork. The family will receive friends Wednesday one hour prior to the service in the church fellowship hall.
