Hugh Paunee Nester

HEADING: Hugh P. Nester Hugh Paunee Nester 80 of Sink Farm Road died Sunday October 16,2011 at Lexington medical Center. Funeral service will be held at 6:00 P.M. Tuesday October 18 ,2011 at Lakeview Baptist Church where he was a member with the Rev. David Wooten officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. prior to the service at the church. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at Lakeview Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Nester was born July 20, 1931 in Carroll County, Virginia to the late Jessie and Alpha Collier Nester. He was owner and operator of A1 Plumbing Company, and was a member of the American Legion Chapter 8. He served as Deacon Emeritis at his church and also played the guitar for 25 years. He was a US Veteran having served in the Navy. Preceding him in death was a brother, Cosby Cox and a sister, Melviena Dalton. Surviving are his loving wife of 61 years, Dorothy Roberts Nester of the home, daughters; Gail Yarbrough and husband Ed of Lexington, Dianne Morris of Holly Hill, Fla.; brothers, Charles Ray Nester and wife, Brenda of Lurray, Va., Leon Nester and wife, Dale of Kill Devil Hills, NC; sisters, Nancy Slusher of Falls Church, Va.; four grandchildren; five great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; and many Nieces and Nephews.
