Hubert Perry, 70, of Highway 150 South died Friday January 7, 2011 at his residence. The funeral will be at 2:00 PM Monday, January 10, 2011 at Currytown Baptist Church with the Revs. Michael McDaniel and Chris Lanning officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. Mr. Perry was born July 15, 1940 in Wilkes County to the late John Henry and Ruby Evelyn Stone Perry. He was a retired fixer in the textile industry. Preceding him in death were his wife, Shelby Perry in 2008; two sons, Wade Perry and Robbie Perry; three brothers, Don, Joe, and Johnnie Perry; and one sister, Davida Berrier. Surviving are two sons, Mark Perry and wife Peggy, and Todd Perry all of Lexington; eight grandchildren, Jennifer Steele and husband Chad, Michelle Perry, Todd Perry, Christy Cooper and husband Andrew, Jr., Nicole Perry, Justin Perry and wife Amanda, Matthew Perry and Alesha Johnson all of Lexington; and nine great-grandchildren, Brooke Steele, Abi Steele, Coty Steele, Allyson Steele, Karlea Lewis, Aubrie Perry, Dakota Cooper, Brianna Cooper, and Londen Johnson all of Lexington; and one brother, Wade Perry and wife Mary of Lexington. The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 9, 2011 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Piedmont Funeral Home, and other times at the home.
