Hobert Livengood

Mr. Hobert Livengood, age 88 of Yadkin College Road, Lexington, NC died Friday at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, April 8 at Piedmont Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Jim Martin. Burial will follow at Yadkin College Cemetery with military honors by the Davidson County Honor Guard. Mr. Livengood was born May 24, 1924 in Davie County to Ernest Webster Livengood and Mary Myers Livengood. He was an Army Veteran of World War II and was a retired Supervisor with Drexel Heritage Furniture Company. He was a member of Yadkin College United Methodist Church. He was married to Nannie Sue Walser Livengood who died February 19, 2010. He is survived by daughters, Clara Sue Greene and husband Worth and Annette Painther all of Lexington; a son, Denny Von Livengood of Lexington; grandchildren, Tracy Medlin, Eric Livengood and wife Rochelle and Kevin Greene; great grandchildren, Ashley Medlin, Alicia Medlin, Lucas Greene and Lawson Greene; great great grandchildren, McKinley Hyde and Caleb Hamilton; brothers, Frank Livengood and wife Edna of Mocksville, and Maynard Livengood and wife Janie of Lexington; sisters, Mary Ruth Snider and husband Harvey J., Vell Garland Jones and husband Roger, and Sylvia Rae Smith and husband Jack all of Lexington.
