Henry Jay Bailey

Henry Jay Bailey 80 of Boones Cave Road, died Friday at his home. Funeral service will be held 4:00 P.M. Sunday at Psalm 91 Church, where he was a member, with the Rev. Max Shoaf officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Family will receive friends from 2-4 P.M. prior to the service at the church. Mr. Bailey was born in Davidson County on August 19, 1933 to the late Henry Stephenson and Fannie Lillian Reed Bailey. He was a former maintenance worker for Dacota Mills. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Ray Bailey and a sister Emma Lynn Lemley. Surviving are, his wife of 55 years, Betty Jo Owens Bailey of the home, sons, Jackie G. Bailey of Denton; Danny J. Bailey and William C. Bailey (Lisa) both of Lexington; Henry S. Bailey of Greenville, S.C.; daughter, Betty Kay Garcia (George) of Lexington; half brother, Terry Lemley of Southmont; 11 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.
