Helen Marcell Griffin

Helen Marcell Ingram Griffin 73, of C-C Drive Linwood died Saturday at Wake Forest Baptist Health Lexington Medical Center. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 P.M. Friday December 12, 2014 at Piedmont Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Norman Mahan officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the Funeral Home. Helen was born in Avery County on April 1, 1941 to the late Tom Ingram and Dorothy Cook Ingram. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Larry Griffin,Sr., son ,Charles Larry Griffin, Jr., brothers, Howard Ingram and Rub Ingram. She was a member of Hillside Baptist Church in Thomasville and was a homemaker. Surviving are her daughter, Rhonda King and husband Tim of Linwood; brother, Tommy Ingram of Thomasville; two grandchildren and one great grandchild.
