Hazeline Harvey Davis, 84, of Mayfair Road, beloved mother, grandma, great-grandma, sister, aunt, friend, and caregiver to so many, was called from her earthly home to her eternal home Friday evening, January 30, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. The funeral service will be Tuesday at 2:00 PM at Second Presbyterian Church, where she was a member by the Revs. Brian Rummage and Bill Sosebee. Interment will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park. Visitation will be Monday evening from 6-8 PM at Piedmont Funeral Home, and other times at the home. Hazeline was born December 21, 1930 to Hayes Henry, Sr. and Effie Victoria Poston Harvey. Hazeline had a great sense of humor and always loved a great joke, even if it was on herself. A classic movie buff, her favorite movie was “Golden Earrings” which was first seen on her honeymoon. She was retired from PPG Industries. In addition to her parents, preceding her in death were her husband, Samuel Clarence Davis, Sr., daughter Gloria June Davis Frazier, brother Jimmy Harvey, and sisters Betty Rose Griffin, Linda Leonard, and Libby Phillips. Surviving are son Samuel (Sam) C. Davis, Jr. (Liz) of Albemarle; daughters Cynthia (Cindy) Davis Reynolds of Durham, Deborah (Debby) Davis of the home, and Betty Carole Davis McCrary (Ken) of Lexington; brother Tommy Harvey (Sharon) of Elkin; sisters Carol MacDonald of Greensboro, Alice Snider (Robert) of Churchland, Mary Forrest (special friend Clydie Snider) of Tyro, and Vicki Bemisderfer (Bill) of Rocky Mount. Also surviving are grandchildren Carmen Pippin (Bob), Kevin Frazier (Corry), Kacey Reynolds-Schedler (Matt), Carey Reynolds, Will Reynolds, Cameron Davis-Bowman (Shawn), Jordan Davis, Luke Davis, and Jake Davis; and great-grandchildren Lee, Joey, and Sara Pippin, Grace, Emma, and Maddie Frazier, and Malcolm Schedler.
