Haymon Howard Hicks

Haymon Howard Hicks,79, of Yarborough Drive passed away Wednesday at his home. A visitation will be held Monday evening, October 21st, from 6-8 PM at Piedmont Funeral Home. Haymon was born in Avery County on October 31, 1944 to the late Clinard Hicks and Beulah Presnell Hicks. He was retired from Lexington furniture. He was preceded in death by his brothers Junior Hicks, Don Hicks, James “Brownie” Hicks and Victor Hicks, sisters Wilma Hicks, Mammie Shrewsbury, Jean Hunt, Lou Ann Presnell, Dollie Ward and Faye Clark. Surviving is his wife, Penny Lawson Hicks of the home, son, Brian Hicks of Lexington, daughter, Elizabeth Hicks of Lexington. Donations may be made to the hurricane relief at www.samaritanspurse.org.
