Geraldine Ballenger White

Geraldine Frances Michael Ballenger White, 84, of N. Koontz Road, Lexington, died January 15, 2011 at her home. Funeral Services will be held at Reeds Baptist Church at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, Januay 19, 2011, with the Revs. Dave Williams and Eddie Stillwell officiating. Graveside Services will a t 3:00 P.M. Wednesday, at Forsyth Memorial Park in Winston-Salem, Mrs. White was born March 16, 1926 in Davidson County to the late J.D. Michael Sr., and Jennie May Myers Michael. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Calvin Baynes White., and her second husband William “Bill” Ballenger She was a homemaker and a member of Northwood Baptist Church in Winston-Salem. Also preceding her in death were 4 brothers, Kenneth, Hugh, Archie, and Paul Howard Michael; 2 sisters Mary Greene, and Leslie Michael. Surviving are two sons; Calvin Allan White and his wife Peggy Shore White of Durham, N.C.; and David Michael White and his wife Sharon Hinkle White of Lexington; 8 grandchildren, Ashley White, and Richard White of Durham, April White of Charlotte, Bridget White of Lexington, Jennie Songco of Colorado Springs, Colo, and Michael E.White, Jeremy Whitman and Tiffany Bowers all of Lexington; 8 great-grandchildren; Blake, Katie , Chandler, Wesley, Savannah, Brittany, Caleb and Ella; 1 sister Inez Burleson of Concord, N.C. and J.D. Michael and Barton Michael and his wife Betty all of Lexington. Several Nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM - 8:00 PM, Tuesday, January 18, at the home N. Koontz Road, Lexington.
