Geraldine Streetman

Geraldine Kinney Streetman,84, of Fox Haven Court died Monday at Hinkle Hospice House.A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday May 1, 2014 at Second Presbyterian Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. Brian Rummage officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall.Mrs. Streetman was born in Forsyth County October 20, 1929 to the late Collis Kinney and Gladys Leonard Kinney. She was owner and operator of Jerry’s Draperies and Fabrics. Preceding her in death were her husband, James L. Streetman, a daughter, Brenda Streetman, brother Willie Bill Kinney, sister Ellisa Joy Kinney Beasley, and special friend Tommy Thomason.Surviving are son Eddie J. Streetman and wife Cathie of Lexington; grandchildren Kelly Mavropoulos and husband Dimitri, Ashley Morgan and husband Dan, and Nicole McLemore and husband Michael and Jesse Tripp, III; and great-grandchildren Colby and Camden Mavropoulos, Macie and Madison Morgan, and Slayton McLemore. Also surviving are sisters Betty Jean Nixon and husband Melvin, and Ollie Lee Owens and husband Jerry all of Lexington and many special nieces and nephews.The family would like to give a special thanks to the Hinkle Hospice House for the love and care given to Geraldine.Memorials may be made to The Memorial Golf Scholarship Fund, 200 Country Club Blvd., Lexington, NC 27292, or to Second Presbyterian Church, PO Box 1334, Lexington, NC, 27293.
