Gerald Victor Jarvis

Gerald Victor Jarvis, 68, of Oakdale Lane, Lexington, died June 22, 2009 at Lexington Memorial Hospital after 1 year of declining health. Funeral Services will be conducted at 3:00 PM Thursday from Cedar Grove Baptist Church, where he was a member, with the Rev. Mike Fritts officiating. Interment will follow in Cedar Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Jarvis was born September 21, 1940 in Davidson County to the late Ernest L. Jarvis and Ruby Maie Poole Jarvis. He was a retired supervisor of Leggett & Platt, Inc., with over 50 years of service. Surviving are two brothers Ernest L. Jarvis and his wife Brenda and Larry Jarvis all of Lexington. Also surviving are two nieces Karen Jarvis of Lexington, and Deborah Lovett and her husband Randy of Midway. The family will receive friends at Cedar Grove Baptist Church 1 hour prior to the Service and other times at the home of his brother Larry Jarvis on NC Hwy 47.
