George Howard Michael

George Howard Michael, 79, of Lexington died Monday, May 29, 2023 at his home. A graveside service will be Thursday at 11:00 AM at Forest Hill Memorial Park. A Celebration of Life Service will be announced and held by the family at a later date. Mr. Michael was born May 9, 1944 in Davidson County to the late J.H. and Marjorie Hunt Michael. A former member of the NC National Guard, he was formerly employed by Lowe’s Home Improvement and was a member of Spruce Street Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Brenda Robertson. Surviving are his wife, Estella Bean Michael of the home; daughters Cindy Michael Shoaf (Dennis) of Lexington, and Julie Michael Farris of Matthews; grandchildren Joshua Shoaf, Beka Shoaf Brown, Emilie Farris, and Tyler Farris, in addition to great-grandchildren Jordan Ruth Brown, and Joshua Seth Shoaf, Jr. Also surviving is sister Barbara Houchins (Arthur) of Lexington.
