Gary Francous Kirkus

Gary Francous Kirkus, 62 of Rockcrusher road, died at WFB Health/ Lexington Medical Center on April 13, 2011, after a illness of 2 weeks. A Memorial service will be held Sunday, April 17, 2011, at 3:00 P.M. at Cotton Grove United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ed. Armfield officiating. The family will meet with friends from 2 until 3 P.M. Sunday, April 17, 2011, prior to the service at Cotton Grove United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall and other times at the home. Mr. Kirkus was born August 8, 1948 in Davidson County to the late James William Kirkus, Sr. and Ann Frances Byerly Kirkus. Gary was owner/operator of Kirkus Construction Company before his retirement and was a member of Cotton Grove United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife Frances Shoaf Kirkus of the home; one son Terry Kirkus and his wife Cindy of Lexington; one daughter Sherrie Pearson and her husband David of Lexington; two brothers Jimmy Kirkus and his wife Alline, and Danny Kirkus and his wife Carolyn; 2 sisters Doncille Perry, and Priscilla Walser and her husband Aubrey; 2 step sisters Colleen Curry and her husband Don, and Dorcus Seaford; 4 grandchildren, Brittany Pearson, Brandon Pearson, Brock Kirkus and Jacob Kirkus.
