Gary Lynn Berrier

Gary Lynn Berrier, 67 of Simerson Rd., Lexington died Tuesday November 12, 2013 in Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem. A celebration of life will be Thursday November 14, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Piedmont Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Ray Harris and Rev. Dr. Michael Collier. Gary was born in Davidson County on June 5, 1946 to Russell Berrier and Maxine Koonts Berrier. He was retired from Packaging Corporation of America in Spencer and a Presbyterian. Gary loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and loved riding four wheelers with his granddaughters, “Scooter” Sydney and “Tinker” Kadie who he adored. He also loved spending time with his hunting buddies, Keith, Brian, Justin and Little David. Gary was a big man in statue, but gentle. When he spoke, you knew that it was something of substance. Surviving are his loving wife Ann Smith Berrier of the home, daughter Angie Berrier Koontz-Daniels and husband Robert of Lexington, his granddaugters, Sydney Koontz and Kadie Daniels, brothers Russell Berrier, Jr. and Ronnie Berrier and sister Linda Kay Fulp and husband Logan all of Lexington. The family will receive friends at the home of the daughter on Parnell Place. Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice.
