Gary Eugene Benoist

Gary Eugene Benoist,77, of Spruce Street died Monday, September 1, 2014 at Gordan Hospice House in Statesville. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday at Piedmont Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Gary was born March 18, 1937 in Iredell County to the late Cameron Eugene Benoist and Edna Deal Benoist. He attended Lexington Church of God, was a US Navy Veteran, and was formerly employed as a supervisor in the textile industry. He was preceded in death by his wife Bonnie Benoist, and daughter Tammy Benoist. Surviving are son, Michael Eugene Benoist and wife Brenda of Olin; step-son, Tim Duane Pearson and wife Dawn of Lexington; daughters, Lisa Ann Mills and husband Jeff of Troutman and Tonia Benoist Fehr and husband Scott of Cary; five grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
