Frank Hartley

Franklin Gilbert “Frank” Hartley, 58, of Rogers Road, died Wednesday, May 7, 2008 at his home. Funeral Services will be Friday, May 9, 2008 at 2:00 PM from the Southside Baptist Church, where he was a member, conducted by Rev. Elwood Goodman and Rev. Jerry Bowen. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Frank was born in Davidson County on July 12, 1949 to the Olin Franklin Hartley and Lucille Adams Hartley. He was an employee of PPG as long as health permitted and was an avid Ham Radio Operator. Frank attended Amazing Grace Baptist Church. Preceding him in death was his father. Frank is survived by his wife, Janice Dockery Hartley of the home, two sons, Jeff Hartley and his wife, Christy, Frankie Hartley and his wife, Melissa all of Lexington, a daughter, Jennifer Walters and her husband, Ted of Lexington, his mother, Lucille Adams Hartley of Lexington. Also surviving are three sisters, Louise Everhart and her husband, Odell, Mildred Huffman, Frances Yarborough and her husband, Aaron all of Lexington, two brothers, Donald Hartley and his wife, Becky, and Grady Hartley and his wife Sallie all of Lexington, three grandchildren, Tabitha Walters, Jeremy Walters and Christa Hartley. The family will receive friends Thursday at Piedmont Funeral Home from 6 until 8 PM and other times will be at the residence.
