Frank Guy

Francis "Frank" D. Guy, 76, of Lexington, passed away Thursday, Aug. 13, 2009, at the Hinkle Hospice House. The body will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at the VA National Cemetery in Salisbury on Monday at noon. Mr. Guy was born March 24, 1933, in Philadelphia. He was retired from Lomax Appliance after 18 years of service. He was a Navy veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Guy; his son, Daniel Guy; his parents, Severence and Erma Guy; and a brother, John Guy. Surviving are four daughters, Cynthia Dougherty of Wilmington, Sharon Johnson of Louisiana, Judith May of Florida and Joyce Whitaker of Lexington; four sons, David Guy, Mike Guy and Kevin Guy, all of Lexington, and Adam Guy of High Point; 28 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren; a brother, Robert Guy Sr. of Winston-Salem; and a sister, Elyse Murphy of Florida.
