Frances Louise Waller Shoaf, 71, a resident of Tyro Road died Tuesday, July 25, 2006 at her residence. Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Friday, July 28, 2006 from the St. Luke’s Lutheran Church with the Rev. Don Phillips offciating. Burial will follow in Sandy Creek Cemetery. Mrs. Shoaf was born May 7, 1935 in Davie County to the late Charlie Lee Waller and Elsie Burton Waller. She was a retired employee of Duracell, retiring after 37 years of service. She was a member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, where she was a member of the Church Council and Church Choir. Mrs. Shoaf served on the Social Ministry Committee, was a member of Circle # 1 of the WELCA at her church, and served the church in numerous other capacities. She enjoyed basket weaving, crocheting and had just learned to knit. She also volunteered with Meals on Wheals. In addition to her parents, preceding her in death was a brother, Hobert Eugene Waller. She is survived by her husband, James Edwin Shoaf of the home, a daughter, Donna Louise Gardner and her husband John of Clemmons, a son, Randal James Shoaf and his wife Angela Harmon Shoaf of Ottawa Ontario, Canada, 3 sisters, Barbara Waller Smith, and Edna Waller Pressnell both of Greensboro, and Betty Waller Kinney of Lexington, a brother, Thomas Lee Waller of Lexington 2 grandchildren, Zachary John Gardner and Sarah Jean Shoaf VISITATION: The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Thursday, July 27, at PIEDMONT FUNERAL HOME and other times at the home MEMORIALS: St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 4299 S NC Highway 150, Lexington, N.C. 27295
