Frances Weaver Bruff

Frances Weaver Bruff, 84 of Lexington. died Tuesday June 21, 2011 at Hinkle Hospice House. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, June 24, 2011 at Piedmont Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Charles R. Yarbrough, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park. Mrs. Bruff was born March 1, 1927 in Davidson County, to the late Lloyd A. Weaver and Nell Biesecker Weaver. Also preceding her in death was her husband Buford Jean Bruff who died in 1975. Frances graduated from Ashemore Business College and was a member of Christ United Church of Christ, where she was a member of the Consistery. She was a former employee of Manhattan Shirt Co. Surviving are 2 daughters, Donna Rickard and her husband Kenneth of Gibsonville, and Paula Bruff of Lexington; 1 brother, Billy L. Weaver and his wife Lorraine of Lexington, and 1 sister Nancy Winston and her husband Bob of Lexington; 2 grandchildren, Matthew Rickard and his wife Lori of Greensboro, and Joshua Rickard of Gibsonville; and one great-grandchild Daniel Lloyd Rickard. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8, Thursday, June 23, 2011 at Piedmont Funeral Home and other times at the home.
