Evelyn Leonard Eagles

Evelyn Leonard Taylor Eagles, 80 of Rixeyville, Va. Passed away on November 8, 2013. She was born on December 21, 1932 in Lexington,NC a daughter of the late Roosevelt Henry Leonard and Myrl Ruarks Leonard. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings-Rachel Tedder, Marvin Leonard, Marsha Lemley, Betty Leonard and Joe Miller and her foster mothers-Gladys Pearl Saintsing. Mrs. Eagles worked as a nurse anesthetist retiring from health facilities at Louisburg,NC. She was a member of Louisburg Baptist Church. She is survived by her son and his wife, Rev. Dr. Edward Taylor, II and Deborah Taylor of Rixeyville,Va; her siblings and their spouses, R.H. Leonard,Jr. and Lucy Leonard and Sara and Bob Beanblossom all of Southmont; two grandchildren, Eddie Taylor and his wife Amanda of Culpeper, Va; and Kristin Taylor of Rixeyville,Va. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 16th at 11:00 A.M. at Center Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, with Dr. Dana Slack officiating.
