Evelyn Barton Beck

Evelyn Barton Beck, 94, formerly of Lexington, died Friday, May 28, 2010 at Cary Health and Rehabilitation Center, Cary, NC. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at Forest Hill Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel conducted by Rev. Allan Van Meter. Entombment will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends following the service. Mrs. Beck was born July 14, 1915 in Forsyth County to the late Walter Lee and Blanche Myers Barton.  She was a homemaker and a member of Bethany United Methodist Church and the Adult Women’s Sunday School Class. She was preceded in death by her husband, Avery Edward Beck. Surviving are son, Larry Beck and wife Ellen of Morrisville, NC, and daughter Anita Beck of Wake Forest, NC. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Larry Eugene Beck, Jr. of Lexington, and Amy Burgoyne of  Richmond, VA.; and three great-grandchildren, Jack Burgoyne, Anna Burgoyne, and William Burgoyne.
