Eric Narine Lionel

Eric Narine Lionel, 51, of Broad Street, died Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2007, at Rowan Regional Medical Center in Salisbury. The funeral will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at Piedmont Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Edwin Krisenlall. Mr. Lionel was born March 11, 1955, in Guyana, South America, to Lionel Narine and Betty Ramlall. He was a former employee of Stanley Furniture and was a member of the Lexington Church of God. Preceding him in death was his father. Surviving are his mother, Betty Ramlall Lionel of Lexington; two brothers, Michael Lionel of Lexington and Stephen Lionel of Schenectady, N.Y.; four nieces, Michelle Lionel, Vanessa Lionel, Angela Lionel and Ann Lionel; and three nephews, Junior Lionel, Alex Lionel and Andy Lionel. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at Piedmont Funeral Home and other times at the residence.
