Emogene Trull Wilkins, 84, of Harrington Ave. died Thursday, September 8, 2022 at Atrium Health-Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem. A Celebration of Life Service will be 3:00 PM Saturday September 24, 2022 at Grace Alliance Church, where she attended, with Pastor Tim Higgs officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the Church. A Second Celebration of Life Service will be held in Andrews, NC at Grace Fellowship Baptist Church at a later date. Emogene was born in Clay County, NC on November 11, 1937 to the late James Jefferson Trull and Bulah Wilson Trull. She was a retired employee with PPG. She was preceded in death by brother, Jimmie Wilson, and sisters, Louise Pullium and Carolyn Watson. Surviving are her son, James Verlon Phillips (Jane) of Andrews, NC; daughter, Kathy Phillips Wilson (James) of Lexington; brothers, Tommy Trull (Helen) of Marble, NC, and Gayland Trull of Blue Ridge, Ga.; sister, Marilyn Chambers (Rogers) of Marble, NC; grandchildren, Michael Phillips (Mandy), and Cassie Hyde (Brandon); and great-grandchildren, Madison, Caitlyn, Brooklyn, Logan, and one on the way. Also surviving is daughter-in-law Bernice Phillips. Memorials may be made to Grace Alliance Church, 457 Burkhart Road, Lexington, NC 27292.
