Emma Lawrence Milam

Sister Emma Lawrence Milam of New Jersey Church Road went home to be with her Lord and Savior Friday July 21, 2023 at Thomasville Medical Center.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday at Meadowview Deliverance Tabernacle, with the Rev. David Roper officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Tuesday at Piedmont Funeral Home.

Sister Emma was born in Stuttgart, Ark. On April 15, 1940 to the late Cecil Gilbert Lawrence and Ana Mae Nolen Lawrence. She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years Bobby Lewis Milam. The Rev. Emma Milam through her 56 years of service to Meadowview Deliverance Church wore many hats. No other pastor has ever served a church better than her.

Surviving is her sister, Debbie Testerman Hewett and husband Tony of Lexington.
