Ellen May

Mrs. Lucy Ellen Barger May, 67, of Snider Ave. died Thursday, October 15, 2020 at her home. A graveside service will be Sunday at 2:00 PM at Forest Hill Memorial Park conducted by the Rev. Billy Pearson. Mrs. May will lie in state at Piedmont Funeral Home from 2-5 PM Saturday. The family will not be present at this time. Mrs. May was born December 4, 1952 in Catawba County to the late Robert and Sibbie Barger. A member of Stoner’s Grove Baptist Church, she was a former beautician. Surviving are her husband Barry Linn May of the home; sons Barry Scott May (Rosie May) of Pilot Mountain, and Fabian May of Albemarle; daughter, Roxanna May of Lexington; brothers Joe and Roudy Barger; and sister, Nancy Barger. Also surviving are grandchildren Kimberly May, Christopher May, Dillon Crawford, and Emalee May. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Stoner’s Grove Baptist Church, PO Box 183, Southmont, NC 27351.
