Elizabeth Greene Mason

Mrs. Elizabeth Greene Mason of the Yadkin College Community passed from death unto life Thursday, September 24, 2015 at 9:30 PM at Hinkle Hospice House. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am Monday, September 28, 2015 at Yadkin College Cemetery with the Rev. Avery Varnadore and Pastor Clyde Akers officiating. There will be no visitation. Mrs. Mason was born in Davidson County on April 15, 1931 to the late Hobert Lamar and Mayree Oakes Greene. She was an assistant to the Dean of the NC School of the Arts in Winston Salem. Also preceding her in death was her beloved husband the Rev. Robert Jackson Mason, her brother Edward Lamar Greene, sister-in-law Margaret Green, and her nephew Edward Green, Jr. Mrs. Mason is survived by her devoted niece, Jeni Shaw of Versailles, KY; great-nieces Rachel and Melissa; great-great niece, Maggie Elizabeth; and nephew Max all of Kentucky. Also surviving are step-son Robert W. Mason; step-daughter-in-law Beverly Mason; step-grandsons Bradley and Joshua Mason; and eight step-great-grandchildren, in addition to two wonderful caregivers, Theresa Crook and Shirley Queen.
