Edward Lewis Barbee, Jr.

Mr. Edward Lewis Barbee, Jr. of Lexington died Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at Hinkle Hospice House surrounded by his loving family. The family will hold a Celebration of Life Service for him at Gethsemane Cemetery, 1504 West Sugarcreek Rd., Charlotte, NC at 12:00 noon, on Saturday, July 6, 2024. Edward was born January 17, 1972 in Memphis, TN to Edward Lewis Barbee, Sr. and Agnes Webb Barbee. He was a construction worker in the asphalt paving business. Preceding him in death were his mother, and a sister, Doris Chambers. He was a loving father, brother, and friend. Surviving are his wife, Sylinda Ayers of the home; daughters Syria Ayers and Symori Ayers of the home; sons Kingston Ayers of the home, Edward Lewis Barbee, III and Anferee Saulsberry both of North Dakota, and Lasel Sanders of Milwaukee, WI; sisters,Adrian Leflora of Charlotte, Katrina Barbee, and Lakeisha Barbee, both of Memphis, TN, Nene Barbee and Neisha Barbee of Atlanta, GA., brothers Levi Webb of Milwaukee, WS, and Anthony Williams of Memphis, TN; five grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Piedmont Funeral Home and Crematory is honored to be serving the Barbee family.
