Edna Constance Thompson

Edna Constance McPeak Thompson, age 72, a resident of Wilson Street, died Tuesday, April 15, 2008, at her residence. Funeral Services will be Friday, April 18, 2008 at 2:00 PM from the Piedmont Funeral Home Chapel, with Preacher Clyde Akers officiating. Interment will follow in Lexington City Cemetery. Mrs. Thompson was born in McDowell County, West Virginia on April 8, 1936 to the late Elza McPeak and Winnie Corner McPeak. She was a retired Private Duty Nursing Assistant. In addition to her parents, preceding her in death were her husband, Clifford Thompson, a son, Charles Thompson, a daughter, Roxanna Lynn Thompson, two brothers, William Edward McPeak, Lloyd McPeak, and a sister, Maxine Edwards. Mrs. Thompson is survived by a son Clifford Shannon Thompson of the home, a daughter Kelly Tracey Wilson and her husband, Wayne of Lexington Also surviving three grandchildren, Christopher Lee Wilson and his wife Christie, Jennifer Lynn Wilson, and Eddie Lee Thompson and two great grandchildren, Hali Nicole Snyder, and Fallyn Reece Wilson.. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 until 8 PM at Piedmont Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence. The family extends a very special thank you, to her nurses, Pat, Michelle, and very special friend, Tonya, for their love and care during her illness.
